This card was fun to try although a bit involved. Sometimes my idea’s for the end card don’t always take into account the effort to get there. It’s all good though.
The sketch is from the Waltzing Mouse sketch challenge #38
Here is my take on the sketch.
The thing that took me the longest was the cut out section at the bottom. Wanting it to have extra dimension I adhered the pretty overlay onto some chipboard and let it dry. Cutting out the background took forever! Really like the effect though.
Short and sweet tonight – it’s late. Pop on over to Waltzing Mouse for more great inspiration.
Credits to come…this is a sneak peak of a new digi kit kit being released on Thursday.

This week challenge over at the Waltzingmouse sketch challenge blog worked perfectly with the Buttons and Bows one at The Shabby Tea Room.
It also worked well with my choice of Oh Boy Kit from Nikki Epperson and geniaBeana which already had the star element in it. Love that I can print these out myself to create cards with.
Another “more” male card this week. Even managed to make buttons and bows fit for a boy by using twine instead of pretty ribbon.
The star and stamped word tag are mounted on chipboard for that extra big of grunge without making the card too busy. I even managed to stay away from the distress ink, paper edger and sewing machine for this one.
At the top of the star is an eyelet which the twine bow is tied through. One button is plain and the other one is painted.
