Vintage Valentines

This weeks new releases at the Digi Chick were all fab – as always. Two there took my fancy and both are valentines kits. One is from Karen Lewis and was used for this card.

The other is Valentine Retrospect Scrapbook Kit from Quirky Twerp. Just luscious I tell ya!! I must admit to going to town with this kit. The colours, designs, shabbyness, roses – yumm! How could this shabby chic girl resist?

After all my gushing about this kit – do you want to see?? 🙂

First up is a layout. I also used a template from Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs to get me started although it morphed a little.

Now you can see why I was soooo gushy!

Next up was a Sweet Heart Topped Pillow Box using this cutting file template set from Kelleigh Ratzlaff Designs

Makes a very cute gift package for some chocolates or love coupons. Yes, that is another medallion you can see on there. Still.Like. Them! This time I used the Martha Stewart doily edge punch along the outside edge to pretty it up.

Then there was the Vintage Valentine Tags. Lush, lush, luscious!!

I couldn’t decide which of these to use, so ended up using them all and making a tag album with all sorts of love quotes. I might add it to my Love Letters Treasure Box that we put out each year for writing valentines to each other.

So there you have it – my gushy vintage valentines crafts for this week. Given how much I like this kit you might even see more of it. 😉
