Waltzing Mouse Stamps

I have been eye-ing off some of the challenges at Waltzing Mouse for a while now and finally decided to have a go at one. It has become obvious of late that the shabby style, which most of my cards have been recently, comes easily to me. Take away the inked edges, distressing and “frou frou” fluff and it’s a bit more of a challenge. No sparkle or bling and I am in trouble. 😀

Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge #34

It started as a reasonably simple card and still ended up taking on a life of it’s own. 🙂 I have been making a lot of girly cards and my card folder is in need of some in the masculine line.

Hence today’s departure from my usual style of cards.

Still, it’s neat, boyish and fun! Sentiment through the middle of two halves in keeping with the original sketch. I have used Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher (such a great little gadget) to add the “birthday tag, and layered some levels on 3d tape.

Hopefully it will hit the mark with the intended recipient.

There are some fabulous cards over there at Waltzing Mouse for the challenge too so why not scurry on over and check them out if you are looking for some more inspiration.
