By now I would imagine there are not many worldwide who have not seen this tragic disaster. As an Australian is is very hard to witness even from a distance. My heart and prayers go out to all those who are affected in so many ways by this tragedy.
This photo was sent to me in an email so I have no way of crediting it but wanted to show it here so you can see the enormity of what went on.
As always the digital scrapping community pulls together to help people out as much as they can. This time is no exception.
An amazing array of designers have got together and created this wonderful kit called the Spirit of Summer.
For a $5 donation made to either the Salvation Army or the Australian Red Cross and this mega kit is yours free. No money goes through any scrapping site…it all goes straight to the official sanctioned appeals so you know it is going to get to those who need it.
Then email your receipt id to Scrap n Tag – the awesome site who have donated their time and bandwidth to hosting the kit. You can find all the details in how to do that here at Scrap n Tag including the special email address you will need to use.
If you make a $10 donation you will also get this wonderful QP set as an extra bonus. How cool is that?
Then after you have made your donation come back and snag this great blinkie made by Michelle Filo to wear on your blog and around your favourite scrapping forums. The more we can spread the word to more it will help!
Remember this is Australian dollars so it will cost a lot less for anyone in the USA Europe or GB and other places.
Thanks to these designers for their wonderful contributions to this worthy cause.
