Digital Stamp and a Grab Bag

My incredibly talented card making friend Sylvia has been kindly showing me the ropes around the online stamping community. Yesterday she introduced me to a group at Paper Craft Planet called Phindy’s Place. It is a friendly group of ladies and there was a card challenge. 🙂 Of course I had to play.

I combined it with the Day 153 sketch from 365 Cards to make this cute, clean, and simple (for me) card.

I tried playing around with a damp paint brush and some Versacolour stamp inks to give her dress dimension. In keeping with the simple theme I didn’t go overboard with the colouring. Just a touch seemed right.

The new Grab Bag from Karen Lewis (available from the 1st of August at the DigiChick)was the perfect choice for the cute little hedgehog digital stamp from Phindy. This card should give you a little sneak peak of a tiny bit of all the wonderful and gorgeous goody’s in there.

Bind It All Project

You may remember a little while back I made an All About Me – Right Here Right Now project over at the Digichick for the March monthly workshop.

I entered it in the Zutter Bind It All Spring Challenge just on a whim. It is not something I have ever done before as I usually don’t put myself out there like that.

Well imagine my surprise today when I opened my mail and a friend had emailed to tell me I was on the blog and had won a prize.

They were only giving away one prize but they loved my little minibook so much that they gave me one too.

You can check it all out here on this post over at the Bind It All blog

The lady who won did a wonderful job on her address book. Being a quilter I was entralled by her entry. The other entries were all so inspiring too.

Maybe I will have a go at more of these kind of things – but only for the fun of it.
