Wow, that is a long title to the blog post. Just not sure what else to call this creation? This week the “Card Caravan” from the Digichick is visiting Cardvarks and their prompt is for some sort of gift card holder.
Given that I plan to use some itunes cards and such as gifts this year it seemed like the perfect project to get my hybrid creating mojo back and some scrapping done.
Using a couple of new releases from the Digichick Designers (shhh- they come out tomorrow so consider this a sneak peak) it all came together so beautifully.
Happy Holly Days Digital kit from Karen Lewis is just gorgeous and one you are going to want for your seasonal scrapping. Add to that the new Gift Tag Bag templates from Geeky Diva and you have the prefect match for the cutest little gift tag bag cards. 
I added a cute little brad and a metal arrow to jazz it up a bit. Edging all the peices with Colour box chalk ink just finished off the whole vintage feel too.
Can’t you see that fab little bag holding some chocolates or candy canes along with the itunes or gift card. Imagine it stuffed full of cash. That would sure makes someones Christmas!

Seems like the older I get the harder it is to recover from these international flights. I am back home and feeling the effects of the long haul flight quite keenly. Waking up at 3 am and not being able to get back to sleep. Conversely falling asleep if I sit still in the evening anytime after 7pm.
I am busying myself, catching up with online buddies and trying to work up some mojo to tackle the mountain of photos from Greece and Australia. I have a few projects in mind but where to start?? See what happens when you are spoilt for choice!
Anyway – I should be back soon with something hybrid to show you…even if it is my Christmas cards to send out. Yikes – when did that sneak up on me.
Today saw me making our Christmas cards. These were done digitally and printed out. Having planned to do it today the prompt was a timely one. Won’t show it here till after Christmas as some of my readers are recipients.
The rest of today’s journal entry and page will be hybrid. There will be clear pocket added for one of the cards. Also another pocket with our list of the family, friends and acquaintances we send Christmas cards to. I usually keep a list each year with a couple of columns. The date, to and from. That way I can keep track of it over the years. The last few years cards have got pretty low arriving as most from home just don’t bother to send them to us.
It has taken a bit to get past the lack of interest…especially from family. The children feel it and often make comments asking why? It’s not something I can easily answer. How do you? It’s also hard to keep making excuses for people. Our address hasn’t changed in 8 years so it’s not like that is a good excuse. =))
The effort from here is being organized. We have to send them out with someone going home to Australia to be posted back there. This means getting cards made early..they can’t be found in the stores here. Then making sure to get them to someone who is having Christmas at home.
Still, there is joy in sending and hopefully those who get cards from us receive them with joy too.
