This card was fun to try although a bit involved. Sometimes my idea’s for the end card don’t always take into account the effort to get there. It’s all good though.
The sketch is from the Waltzing Mouse sketch challenge #38
Here is my take on the sketch.
The thing that took me the longest was the cut out section at the bottom. Wanting it to have extra dimension I adhered the pretty overlay onto some chipboard and let it dry. Cutting out the background took forever! Really like the effect though.
Short and sweet tonight – it’s late. Pop on over to Waltzing Mouse for more great inspiration.
Credits to come…this is a sneak peak of a new digi kit kit being released on Thursday.
Card stock CM, Digital Sentiment from Arty Pants Digital Stamps, Kaiser Crafts Pearls, Stitching Cotton.

Love the brown and blues on this – what a wonderful job fussy cutting on the bottom piece – your fluttering butterfly looks like it’s ready to take flight! thanks for playing with the WMS sketch this week!

This is really beautiful, I know what you mean about the effort not always being clear!!! You can tell the effort thats gone into this though, the bottom part is stunning. It just makes me want to go make something!

Just added my card to the challenge and thought your card really stands out! The time you put in the cutting, really was worth it, ’cause it’s so pretty this way!! Very, very nice card!
