I have had the awesome opportunity to work with Kelleigh Ratzlaff Designs amazing hybrid templates and really like using them. So when Kelleigh asked me if I would like to participate in her blog hop how could I resist?
Of course I jumped at the chance!
Architectural pineapples have long been something I have admired on buildings and such. I would really enjoy having one (or two) of those stylish decor types to sit on my bookshelf or perhaps on my counter. Make it a vintage one and …well, I digress.
Given that there are none to be found anywhere here about, plus postage on them would be likely be huge into here as they are not known for their light weight, I decided to make my own.
Enter Kelleigh Ratzlaff Templates and a couple of beautiful kits from the Digichick – now my dream of having a real architectural pineapple can wait a little longer.
Using two of Kelleighs templates as an inspirational jumping off point the whole thing came together beautifully. The base is both the small and large boxes from the Hexagon Box Template.
The pineapple “petals” are using the Sweet Strawberry Template.
The fabulous patterned papers are from This Woman’s Work by Jennifer Fox and Limitless – the Collection by the Digi Chicks. I printed these out on two different Red River Papers and am very impressed with them. That deserves it’s own review so will tell you more about that in a separate post after I move. The patterned paper and inking just add to the overall elegance. Add a little ribbon, some rickrack and it works.
Kelleigh has a whole big blog hop going on today. – and a prize too!
One lucky hopper (that’s you) will win a $10 gift certificate to Kelleigh’s store just for commenting on this blog post at Kelleigh’s with your vote for your favorite Creative Team project.
